Virginia Beach Animal Control and the Virginia Beach S.P.C.A. have issues of their own which makes any reasonable person wonder if they're even qualified to, as they claim, serve the public or the animals.  Animal Control, a Tradition of Failure According to a the group "Save our Shelters", Virginia Beach Animal Control is not in compliance with state law regarding the state of their shelter. Among the problems at this shelter, there isn't proper food storage, isolation of sick animals or air ventilation. The floors and walls are damaged (Accusations that Animal Control leveled at Linda Johnson) and the word of staff members is taken over an actual inspection ever taking place.
